Freshman
"One of the things I like about McMurry is the size of the campus. It's a smaller campus, and it doesn't leave you feeling overwhelmed like a larger campus might. I also like how the class sizes are smaller, allowing you to have more one-on-one time with the professors."
We're so glad you're interested in joining the McMurry family. Below you'll find the steps of the application process, as well as information about application evaluation and academic scholarships.
Steps to Applying
- Fill out the Freshman Application for Admission.
- Submit the Signature Page, along with the $20 application fee.
- Complete and submit the McMurry Personal Statement.
- Submit your official high school transcript or GED.
- Submit your official SAT or ACT test scores (if under the age of 22).
Academic Merit Scholarship and Awards
McMurry awards academic merit scholarships at the time of admission.
Academic merit scholarships are based on your high school grade point average
and SAT or ACT test scores. Click

Evaluation of Applications
Once we receive your completed application, including all of the above items, we will process your admission file. Students are usually notified with admission decisions within one week of completing the application and submitting all necessary documents. Each application is evaluated based on the academic merits (both high school grade point average and entrance exam scores), extracurricular activities, and personal statement. This holistic approach allows McMurry to evaluate students on an individual basis and look for each student's strengths. We encourage each interested student to apply.
