McMurry University was founded on the values of the United Methodist church, and religion is an important aspect of life for many of our students. While McMurry University is a United Methodist university, we embrace and welcome students of all faiths. The Religious Life department is here to help you grow in your faith through fellowship and worship.
Join us for our weekly University Chapel, a blended worship service led by students and our university chaplain. You can also participate in our student-led contemporary service or join a Life Group Bible Study to further your faith journey with other students. Through the Religious Life Council, you can help plan special events, such as Holy Week services, and participate in the McMurry Prayer Initiative in the Carleton Prayer Chapel.
Religious life at McMurry extends beyond the university campus. You can travel to New Mexico, Chile and Cuba to participate in life-changing mission trips. Explore top graduate schools and seminaries throughout the country on our Seminary Tour. The Religious Life department provides you with opportunities to explore your faith and the world around you.
