"One of the things I like about McMurry is the size of the campus. It's a smaller campus, and it doesn't leave you feeling overwhelmed like a larger campus might. I also like how the class sizes are smaller, allowing you to have more one-on-one time with the professors."

School of Natural and
Computational Sciences

The School of Natural and Computational Sciences provides you with creative programs that are current, relevant and appealing. McMurry University is well respected, with six faculty members from five different departments having been selected as members of the Project Kaleidoscope Faculty for the 21st Century. No Texas university has had more faculty honored, and this wide variety of experience and knowledge opens up a variety of opportunities to you. Our physics students have discovered near-earth asteroids and classified deep space objects as a result of McMurry's participation in the National Undergraduate Research Observatory at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, AZ. Biology students have presented papers in Sicily and Germany, completed field research in China, and sequenced genes for iron uptake in plants. Chemistry students have done research related to gene expression, antibody structure and antiviral drugs. No matter what your selected program of study, these and countless other opportunities await you to help you succeed, learn and discover.

McMurry graduates have gone on to success as presidents of both the Texas Dental Association and the American Medical Association. Software designed by graduates is found on Air Force One and military aircraft and supports in-flight Internet connections for commercial travelers.
