Steps to Applying
- Fill out the Transfer Application for Admission.
- Submit the Signature Page along with the $20 application fee.
- Submit an official and complete set of transcripts from each college
or university you have attended.
*If you have less than 24 transferable hours of course work, submit
your high school transcript or GED certification.
*If you are under the age of 22, please provide your ACT/SAT
test scores.
Academic Merit Scholarship and Awards
McMurry awards academic merit scholarships at the time of admission.
Academic merit scholarships are based on your college grade point average
if you have 24 or more transferable hours. If you have less than 24 transferable
hours, scholarships are based on a combination of your college grade point
average and your high school grade point average and SAT or ACT test scores.
Transfer Criteria
- Up to 66 semester hours can be transferred from an accredited college or university.
- Remedial coursework and grades of D or lower are not transferable,
but may be considered in the admissions decision. - Technical and vocational courses are not transferable, with a few exceptions.
Evaluation of Applications
Once we receive your completed application, including all of
the above items, we will process your admissions file. Students are usually
notified with admissions decisions within one week of completing the application
and submitting all necessary documents. McMurry University admits approximately 70 percent of
